“At the side of this house there was a damp dark gloomy area. This was the side entrance to the house and the client wanted to make an entrance area that was striking, modern and bright. The fencing was replaced with horizontal battens for a modern warm feel. Raised beds for evergeen structural planting were built to enclose the area and a black and white mosaic was designed to bring energy and light. Behind the built in slate seat, 2 perspex lights set in the wall bring a warm glow at night and a sculptural effect in the day.”
