We specialise in helping people find help for their homes and this includes finding a home architect. Recent years have seen the arrival of urban loft conversions giving contemporary living spaces. This widespread home modernisation, both in decoration and furnishings, and extensive consumer choice in terms of finishes, materials and fittings have really revolutionised the way we choose to live.
Towards a New Architecture
Le Corbusier, 1927
Hand in hand with such developments have gone changes in expectations and so many people nowadays want flexibility in their homes. Homes are no longer just domestic spaces, in many cases they are places of work, rest, fun and family. So when building a new home or extending your home, a home architect can really make a difference to realising this vision.

Not only has the way we lived changed but also the services that home architects provide have become much more accessible. With many home architects giving flexibility in services to the homeowner that allow control over costs and levels of service. Whether you are looking to create an extension, convert your loft or rework internal space a home architect really can help guide you through the process.
An initial design consultation with an architect will help you explore all possibilities for the design and layout of an extension or other works. They will also guide you through the planning application and building regulations process.
Many improvement projects, even the most straight forward once, require specialist help and extending a house is not simply a question of taking on extra space where you think you need: the entire way a home is planned should also come into consideration, for this reason and because most extensions require substantial building work and generally entail structural changes its pretty much essential to employ an architect.

One Response to “Home Architect”
It’s nice to see recommendations for Architects, particularly on domestic projects, as some people assume they are expensive or don’t work on small ‘every day’ projects. Often they are pleasantly surprised at the service they get!
