A property developer has finally sold his Star Trek flat which is a replica of a Starship Voyager for an out of this world price of £425,000 - four times as much as neighbouring apartments.
Tony Alleyne, bought the flat for £27,000 then sadly went bankrupt after spending £175,000 doing it up. He tried to sell the Star Trek flat for over £1,000,000 a few years ago and now after dropping the price to £500,000, it has been sold to a Birmingham Entrepreneur, for an amazing £425,000.
The Star Trek flat has been lovingly crafted and Tony has literally put everything into it. It's a one-bedroom homage with moulded walls, space age lighting, a life-size transporter room, and a 'warp coil', which replaced the fridge. Its OTT but the finish looks impressive.
Even the door bell of the Star Trek flat is customised, as the voice of Patrick Stewart, known to trekkies as Capt. Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise, issues from the speaker: "Welcome to the 24th century."
Tony's dream is to design similar Star Trek flats for other sci-fi lovers so watch this space - we may be seeing more of these across the UK as Tony is looking into a Star Wars version!
As Spock says "The situation is neither bad nor good, it merely exists."
