We joined the thousands of Heating Engineers who took some time out to visit the Installer Live plumbing show run by CORGI at Coventry Ricoh Arena.

It was a great show, where Heating Engineers could get updated on new products and services to ensure they are at the top of their game. There was lots of fun to be had too, a bit of pool, some golf and even a bit of gambling on the horses!

It's the third year of the show, and this year there was a huge focus on Eco and Smart Home technologies.

CORGI awards

The CORGI Awards, billed as the Oscars of the plumbing and heating industry, formed part of the show and took place on 20th September to honour the best in the business. There were 20 CORGI Awards over three categories: Product, Gas Safety and Installer.

Worcester, Bosch Group stood out from the crowd winning Boiler of the Year for the Greenstar CDi range and Energy Efficient Product of the Year for its Greenskies solar thermal panels in the prestigious 2007 CORGI awards.

In the 'Energy Efficient Product of Year' category, Worcester beat off fierce competition to secure the top spot. With new high performance panels now available in both portrait and landscape versions and Greenskies cylinders launched this year, the complete Greenskies package is a winner with installers and consumers alike.

Richard Soper, managing director for Worcester, accepted the awards at the plumbing show. He said: "To win one CORGI award is an honour, but to win two is incredible. We are truly delighted and would like to thank all the installers who voted.

"Winning the 'Energy Efficient Product of the Year' category with Greenskies is also particularly satisfying, as we are passionate about the environment and helping to reduce the UK's CO2 emissions through the installation of renewable technologies and high-efficiency condensing boilers."

So it looks like Worcester boiler were the clear winners at this year's Installer Live plumbing show!
